About Us
We’re everyday Portlanders from diverse neighborhoods and walks of life, raising our voices to bring pragmatic solutions to the city we love.

Starting in the Fall of 2021, thousands of neighbors from every area of the region and every walk of life started banding together online. Consistently, they vented about the growing frustrations with the City of Portland and Multnomah County. Promises regarding bond measures and tax revenue earmarked to take care of the homeless are going unmet. Failed efforts and a lack of civic accountability resulted in the diminished livability throughout the region.
Focusing on improving our community, Future Portland has emerged, eager to support meaningful changes in leadership and public policy.
Future Portland represents the course correction needed to restore the very livability of our region.

Future Portland agrees that the community can be served by respectful discourse focused on finding rational solutions toward shared goals. The pendulum must swing away from the untried policies or special interests that have steered public policy of late with disastrous results. The conflict between the extreme ends of the political spectrum has monopolized news outlets, thwarted reasonable conversations and stalled meaningful progress.
Moving forward, Future Portland, representing a diverse majority of area residents, will reclaim the microphone, and make its voice heard for the greater good.
Priority issues include measures regarding:
> Public Safety and Lawlessness
> Homelessness, Addiction and Mental Health
> Fiscal accountability from Portland and Multnomah County
> Restoration of public spaces, parks and shared environments
> Support for small business -
Extremist positions are limiting, and narrow-minded viewpoints have contributed to the community’s decline. More than 13,000 people moved out of Multnomah County in 2022 and nearly 79% of Portland businesses reported at least a single act of vandalism in the past year. This is untenable.
As residents we can work for increased police-officer accountability and effective policing while also supporting the need for more social workers, community welfare services and law enforcement. Our community needs more efforts on all sides working together—and overall accountability.
